Congratulations all!

You sang absolutely beautifully tonight. I just wish you could all hear what you sound like as a complete choir from out front. You watched, you followed, you ignored my mistakes perfectly (thank you, Robert, for recognising that it might be a good idea for the choir to have their notes before we start Sleep….), and you sounded very impressive indeed. I only hope you all enjoyed the concert as much as I did. If the audience feedback was sincere – my kids are not good at masking their true opinions, and they genuinely enjoyed it – then you put on an excellent show. Thank you to our soloists, Claire, Tricia and Sarah. It is so good to have soloists within the choir. Huge thank yous to Robert, as always, the Chopin was brilliant. Thanks to those who introduced the segments, for your lovely words. And thanks to all of you for your hard work at home and in rehearsals which made the whole term’s music possible. And thanks to our new joiners, who sang a concert with us for the first time tonight. We love having you as part of our choir family.

I look forward to having a spicy meal with you on Tuesday night (thank you Roger for organising) and I look forward to next term and a totally different musical experience!

Chris

Happy Holidays to all

Chris

I concur with Chris’ sentiments. I’ve always wanted to be in the audience, the hear the choir from the audience perspective, and it was lovely.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks for such positive feedback Chris. It was a hugely enjoyable evening. Thanks to everyone for all their efforts and of course to you Chris, for choosing some amazing pieces for us to learn:)
Afraid I can’t make the curry but hope you all have a great night and a fantastic Xmas. Best wishes, Marilyn

I can’t read anyone’s comments except Chris’s, but my 5 friends were more enthusiastic about our concert than I have ever seen them about anything! They loved the choice of songs, and thought we sounded wonderful. And that Robert’s performance of the gorgeous Chopin Nocturnes was just utterly fabulous. Thanks, Chris, for all your work with us and behind the scenes – clearly it paid off in spades. And congrats to the lovely soloists, and speakers – who struck just the right note, in both senses!
Sorry I can’t join for the curry on Tuesday, but hope you have a great evening.
Merry Christmas and Frohe Weihnachten! Looking forward to the Spring term.
